What we take — answered
What items does A2Z Junk Removal take?
A2Z takes almost any non-hazardous item: furniture, mattresses, appliances, refrigerators, televisions and electronics, hot tubs, above-ground pools, trampolines, sheds, storm and yard debris, construction and remodel debris, and full garage, attic, basement, storage unit, and estate cleanouts. If two people can carry it and it isn't hazardous, it can go on the truck.
What will you not take?
We can't take hazardous materials: paint thinner, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, motor oil, asbestos, medical or biohazard waste, ammunition, explosives, unpurged propane tanks, wet paint, or radioactive material. Dry out leftover paint with kitty litter or paint hardener and we will take the cans. For asbestos you need a licensed abatement contractor, and we're happy to point you to one.
Do you take mattresses in Tulsa?
Yes. Mattresses and box springs are one of the most common single items we haul, and a single mattress falls in our minimum load bracket at $125 to $150. Tulsa-area curbside trash service generally will not take a mattress, which is why people call us for them.
Can you take a refrigerator or freezer?
Yes. Refrigerators, freezers, and window AC units contain refrigerant and have to go to a certified recovery facility, which carries a small facility fee on top of the load price. We quote that up front so it is never a surprise.
Do you remove hot tubs and above-ground pools?
Yes. Hot tubs, spas, above-ground pools, trampolines, and sheds are all jobs we do regularly. These usually need to be cut down or disassembled on site, so send a photo and we'll size the job before we come out.
Do you recycle or donate anything?
Where we can, yes. Usable furniture, working appliances, and household goods get sorted out for donation or scrap rather than dumped, and metal and electronics go to recyclers. We're a two-man outfit, not a national chain, so we won't oversell it: whatever has a second life, we try to give it one.
Do I need to move anything to the curb first?
No. The price includes our crew going wherever the items are — garage, back bedroom, attic, basement, backyard — and carrying them out. Just note stairs or long carries when you get your quote, since hard access adds about 25% to the load price.
Can you take a single item?
Yes. One couch, one mattress, one fridge, one TV — that's our minimum load at $125 to $150. There's no requirement to have a full truck's worth of stuff before we'll come out.
